Arizona Association of Emergency Managers Scholarship Program
The Arizona Association of Emergency Managers (AzEM) is proud to support the next generation of emergency management professionals through our Annual Scholarship Program. Now in its fourth year, this $3,000 scholarship supports students pursuing Emergency Management related fields.
The scholarship is part of AzEM’s ongoing commitment to education, professional development, and strengthening Arizona’s emergency management workforce. If you are passionate about making communities safer, more resilient, and better prepared — we want to support your journey.
Eligibility For the Scholarship Program
To apply, you must:
- Must be an active AzEM member
- An Arizona resident enrolled in an accredited Arizona college or university
- Studying Emergency Management or related field in a full or part-time basis
- GPA 3.5 or higher
- Demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to a career in emergency management
- Exhibits leadership qualities and a passion for community service
- Submit a completed application by 11:59PM MST June 30, 2027 deadline
How to Apply for the Scholarship Program
Applications open April 1, 2027 and will close June 30, 2027. The winner of the scholarship will be announced at the 2027 AzEM Annual Conference!
When the scholarship program becomes available again in 2027, the following documents will be required:
- A completed application packet.
- A copy of their latest unofficial transcript with cumulative GPA.
- 1 recommendation letter from faculty, employer, or community leader who can attest to the applicants’ qualifications, commitment to emergency management and potential for success in the field.
- A current resume that highlights academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and any relevant work or volunteer experience in emergency management.
Application Deadline: 11:59PM MST, June 30, 2027

Hollie currently serves as the Business Continuity Manager at Arizona Financial Credit Union. In this role, she also leads as the organization’s Incident Commander, where she is actively working to strengthen and mature the credit union’s incident management program. Drawing on her extensive background in emergency management, Hollie is leading the redevelopment of the Incident Management Program to ensure it reflects best practices and brings lasting value to the organization through her education and experience.
Hollie’s success is a testament to the power of support and education in advancing emergency management careers. We are proud to have played a role in her academic journey and look forward to helping more students like her each year.
